Early in the morning, visit Jvari Monastery (6th c. UNESCO, built on a hill opposite Mtskheta, at the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Monastery overlooks ancient capital Mtskheta that makes destination more amazing.Later have a stop at Ananuri architectural complex (17th c.) situated on the way to Rafting camp. The two churches and the fortress overlooking the Zhinvali water reservoir. The carvings on the churches are one of the best samples of the Georgian art. After getting a short description of Georgian history and architecture we will have an incredibly exciting tour on Aragvi River. This rafting trip leads you to the Aragvi River near Pasanauri. During the tour, you will see diverse landscapes and views of the fortress that are spectacular!
Difficulty rate of the tour is easy (2.0). It starts at Pasanauri and ends in village Meneso, covering 13 km. The trip lasts for 1h 20 minutes. After the trip travellers have picnic at the river.
