Start tour at 09:00 AM and drive directly to Kakheti.The first destination that you will visit is Monastery and academy Ikalto that was known as one of the most significant cultural-scholastic centers of Georgia. Continue Tour and visit Alaverdi Cathedral (11th cent.) It stands in a fertile river valley, its surrounding walls silhouetted against the backdrop of the Caucasus Mountains and enclosing the monastic refectory, wine-cellar and bath-house as well as the 17th century governor’s residence from a time when Kakheti was under Islamic rule. Afterwards you will visit Gremi Fortress (16th cent.) The picturesque brick citadel overlooking Alazani Valley and snow-covered Caucasus Mountains. Later visit Nekresi Monastery 6th cent.). situated on top of a steep hill overlooking Alazani valley. Continue tour to Tsinandali Museum-Estate of the Chavchavadze family, representatives of the 19th century Georgian aristocracy. A walk through the beautiful English-style garden will take you to the house-museum of the famous poet and Duke Alexander Chavchavadze. After our excurssions Shumi winery is another attractive spot to visit, here you can see museum and vineyard including almost all Georgia’s indigenous grape varieties. 

In the end of the day drive back to Tbilisi.
