Tour Itinerary

  • Uplistsikhe Cave complex (1 st half of 1st mill. BC);

Start tour at 09:00 AM and drive  directly to Joseph Stalin Museum in Gori.The complex of the museum includes the memorial house, Stalin’s carriage, and the two-storeyed exhibition building  to discover .

Visit Uplistsikhe cave complex- “the fortress of the Lord” that can be dated back to the early Iron Age, cut from Natural sandy stone, is identified as one of the oldest settlements in Georgia.Afterwards visit family cellar where you will taste wine from Kartli grape varieties and have a traditional Georgian feast (Supra). Family atmosphere with openhearted hosts, tasty Georgian wine, delicious cuisine will make you feel real Georgian hospitality.

After the lunch continue trip to explore Mtskheta (1000 BC, UNESCO) - ancient capital of Georgia, located 20 km from Tbilisi. It was a major trading post and also the religious centre of the country. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th cent. UNESCO)  which  has  been one of the principal Georgian Orthodox churches and is among the most venerated places of worship in the region. 

In the end of the day druve back to Tbilisi
